The distant peak on the right hand side of the picture is Macfarlane Mtn. The large canyon 2/3 of the way from the bottom of the picture is South Canyon. With the exception of the last ridge in the picture, the entire area is off the Forest. This picture illustrates fairly well the type of country at an elevation of about 8,000 feet typically covered with aspen, Douglas fir, white fir, and blue spruce with various flows of lava rock. Illustrates a highly potential recreational center because of its scenic value.
