Our Music Department. We are all very much pleased with our Music Department, and to the untiring efforts of our beloved instructor, Professor C. N. Lyngby, are we indebted for its splendid success. He successfully imparted some of his enthusiasm to the students of this department, which in turn was felt throughout the school. The Orchestra pleased everyone with its popular and classical music. At the dances it was very efficient, while its concert work greatly exceeded all expectations. Such overtures as Light Cavalry, Past and Present, and Poet and Peasant were rendered in a highly gratifying manner, and reflected due credit to the organization. The Choir and Mixed Chorus gave many illustrations of their good work and furnished much of the singing in Devotional. The Double Mixed Quartet deserves credit for the splendid service it rendered at different times. The Ladies Chorus was was the bright feature of the music department and they certainly furnished splendid programs. They held to high class music and they gave sufficient demonstration to justify our faith in their ability to handle anything.
