Dr. Thomas Clark Hill was the town physician, and an important man in Huntington and surrounding towns. Adeline Leonard Wakefield included him in her photograph scrapbook album. She wrote, "I remember running three blocks to get him to hurry to our home. Lund had sat on an open pocket knife that hung on a chain fastened to his overalls. When I got home, I needed a little of the doctor's attention myself."
