Effie Armstrong Hill--Dr. Hill's wife and baby Helen in 1925. Dr. and Mrs. Hill were good friends with Addie Richard's parents. Addie was in their home often, helping Effie Hill and tending Helen. Effie had poor health. Addie called them her "foster parents" or 2nd parents. Lamont Johnson recorded: "In 1911 he married Effie Armstrong, a Castle Dale school teacher. Then in 1926 he took his family to Arizona for his wife's health. During this time Dr. Hal Sherman cared for his practice. In 1928 Mrs. Hill died, leaving their daughter Helen, a child of three years.
