22 foot Allosaurus Antodemus skeleton taken from the Cleveland Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry. The quarry contains the densest concentration of Jurassic fossils ever found. How the dinosaurs ended up in the area is a mystery. It appears as though many dinosuars died and someone or something stirred all of the bones. Full skeletons are found, but the bones are scattered throught the area. No one has been able to solve this puzzle yet. The Cleveland Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry has a small museum with dinosaur skeleton displays. The Museum of the San Rafael in Castle Dale, and the Prehistoric Museum in Price all display many dinosaur specimens. Cleveland Lloyd has also shipped more complete dinosaurs to museums all over the world than any other quarry. Allosaurus is the most common dinosaur found, but new species are still being discovered at the quarry and throughout the San Rafael Swell.
