Swasey Kids on the Swinging Bridge on Easter Sunday. The tradition of spending Easter weekend on the San Rafael Swell began in the early 1900s for residents of Emery and Carbon County. The Swasey family spent a lot of time on the Swell. Their grandparents lived there and raised cattle and horses in the late 1800s and named most of the significant geological formations.
