Owen Price was put in charge of taking care of the horses when CCC Company 959 was in Mt. Pleasant. Owen grew up on a farm and had handled horses all of his life. Most of the CCC boys were from cities. Owen sometimes stayed in a sheepherders wagon near the horses. This photos is taken in the winter where Owen is standing in deep snow. Owen remembers that when his grandfather died, he was unable to find someone to take care of the horses so he could go to the funeral.
