Marion Wheeler's photograph album shows that his family was with him at Temple Mountain during the time he worked mining uranium. This photograph shows how the children were allowed to go anywhere around the mining areas. Esther Wheeler is getting ready to go underground for a tour. The caption reads, "Esther and Pa Cline." Barbara Ekker, another woman who lived at Temple Mountain said, "One day I had the bright idea I wanted to go down there. Never again. I've never been so scared in my life going down there because, I mean, you know, if the guy up on top isn't doing his job you're down there forever with no way to get out. These calex holes were more for air and vent. They were mining inside, but they were up on top to let equipment down and to send the miners down."
