Drew Richards and friends traveling to the San Rafael Swell for Easter weekend. Although many people had cars in 1928, horses and wagons fared better in the muddy areas of the Swell. Spending Easter weekend on the Swell or the desert, as locals call it, has been a tradition since the early 1900s and still continues today. It is still called "Eastering" by the local residents.
