Drew Richards and his girlfriend, 16 year old Addie Wakefield, on the San Rafael on Easter weekend posing as outlaws. Butch Cassidy and his gang rode through and hid out in the Swell. They became legends to all residents of Emery County. Spending Easter weekend on the Swell or "the desert," as locals call it, has been a tradition since the early 1900s and still continues today. It is still called "Eastering" by the local residents.
