J u n e 23. 1971.. .Resolution of the City Corporation accepting the g r a n t offer of t h e United States through the Federal Aviation Administration in t h e maximum amount of $453,898 t o be used u n d e r t h e Airport Development Aid Program in t h e development of t h e Cedar City municipal Airpot. Unanimous. July 30, 1971.. . I n accordance with t h e motion made April 8. 1971 to defer creation of a Special Improvement District No. 1, the following resolution was r e a d : Resolution to create Special Improvement District No. 1 , deleting certain s t r e e t s . property a n d improvements described in t h e notice to proceed a n d make improvments a s s e t f o r t h . Oct. 7. 1971.. .Bids to install water pipeline in Coal Creek Canyon, e a s t of Cedar. a s follows: 18,500 feet of 10" c a s t iron pipe--Western Rock bid $4O.319.40. I n s t r u c t e d to proceed with installation. County Commissioners, Ivan Matheson a n d Keith Smith. met regarding p r o p e r t y on 100 E a s t , jointly owned by t h e County a n d City. They propose to build a new Courthouse; b u t , whether i t will he in Cedar City o r Parowan is contingent on a 213 referendum a t the 1972 general election. Sept 2 , 1971.. .Radec Incorporated, on north Main S t r e e t , i s planning to use plastic water lines and sewer lines. The Council a g r e e s t h a t Radec must accept perpetual responsibility for the repair a n d maintenance of same. Motion was made b y Councilman Hansen to authorize Architect Gardner t o call for bids on t h e proposed addition to the Airport Administration Building a s soon a s possible. Unanimous. Sept. 1 6 , 1971.. . R . B. Platt p r e s e n t e d a n d explained plans a n d a map for t h e Airport Project. Plans have been submitted to the F.A.A. for approval.
