Bob Gardner a n d Will J o n e s , of t h e Library Board, b r o u g h t t h e plans for the new Library Building. Estimated cost--$120,000. Recommendation from t h e Airport Committee: 1. Bids be called f o r an operator of the cafe a t t h e a i r p o r t . 2 . S h r u b s be obtained for grounds around the new airport 3. Administration Building prior to dedication. April 21st. Feb. 19, 1951.. .Motion by Councilman Fakler t h a t t h e Indians must have a written permit from t h e City Office to b u r y their dead. Unanimous. Mar. 15, 1951.. .The work of revising t h e City Ordinance Book was bid by Attorney Isom in t h e amount of $1400-accepted by Council April 15, 19.51...M r s . Myron Higbee a n d Mrs. Ned Sargent met with t h e Council regarding the P . T . A . [Parent Teacher Association] immunization clinic. They thought t h e City Physician should be called to diagnose a case of a communicable disease. Mayor Broadbent stated t h a t t h e City Physician's salary is s o small, i t would not take care of e x t r a services from what his schedule is now. Also, in case of illness, the family physician should be called to make a diagnosis a n d then r e p o r t i t to t h e City Physician who would see about a Quarantine Flag, if the disease was contagious. A r e q u e s t for a water connection was made b y Bob Gardner. I t was not allowed because of being outside t h e City limits. Mayor Broadhent s u g g e s t e d t h a t t h e Southern Utah Power Company be contacted a n d a suggestion made that they p u t in t h e s t r e e t lighting on Main S t r e e t , a n d the City will buy power from then until their franchise r u n s o u t , o r until such time when the City goes into t h e power business.
