1945.. .Me1 Arns and Ralph Jones, representing the American Legion, met with t h e Council to discuss the proposition of t h e Legion purchasing t h e old Library Building and grounds for a Memorial and Recreation Building, to be used by the returning War Veterans. Referred to committee. lasted

J u n e 7, 1945.. .Swimming Pool r a t e s excessive and citizens ask that t h e age limit be raised to 14. (Children u n d e r 1 2 had been charged 10G each and adults 25Q each in 1941) Sheriff, Sherman Lamb, and Chief of Police. Arthur Nelson, reported t h a t the Silver Leaf I n n , a s i t is managed and conducted a t p r e s e n t , is a nuisance and menace to t h e City and i t s residents. They made recommendation that i t be closed a t once. Referred to committee. June 21, 1945.. .Mayor Lunt recommended J u n e Hunter to be Street Supervisor. He has a good steady c h a r a c t e r , b u t , most important, h e is a discharged Serviceman; therefore, h e should be given f i r s t consideration. Carried. June 25, 1945.. . D r . Farnsworth discussed t h e matter of Tuberculosis among the local t r i b e of Indians. He s t a t e s that t h e disease is prevalent and f a r advanced in two c a s e s , and he recommends t h a t the City take immediate action. Action-remove them at once. July 1 9 . 1945.. .
