Location for the City Building to be where the present City Jail stands, on the side s t r e e t connecting Main and First East Street. Picture from : SU SC . .... Special Collections Library July 1 , 1943..A representative of the State Board of Health met with the Council. He stated he was visiting Cedar City in the interest of a better milk supply, and that with the assistance of M r. Knell and the Public Nurse he had made a survey of the larger milk producing companies in Cedar City. He found that only one Company has facilities for pasteurizing milk, and there has been no supervision from t h e City. The farmers visited did not have sanitary conditions, and only one had a milk house. The temperature of milk was not being correctly taken. He outlined the requirements for producing Grade A milk. Councilman Higbee made motion that all full time employees, having worked one year, be granted a ten day vacation at such time a s convenient for the City. .
