Aug. 12, 1941.. .Mayor Lunt reported that he would like to have the 1 9 4 2 Municipal League Convention held in Cedar City. Mayor instructed to make the invitation to the Municipal League to hold their next annual convention in Cedar City. Oct. 2 , 1 9 4 1 ...Ianthus Wright, Mrs. N . J . Barlow, Mrs. Zoe Palmer and Mr. Hazen Cooley, representing the Coordinating ~ o m m h e eand Cedar City Art Guild met with the Council and asked for the City's cooperation in designating Cedar City a s an a r t center and getting on the circuit for the traveling a r t exhibits. Committee recommended that t h e City provide for the expense of an Art Center in the 1 9 4 2 budget. Referred to Finance Committee. The bonds of Mrs. Rose S. Fuller, deceased, and Winston Seegmiller, who has moved away to attend Brigham Young University at Provo, were ordered cancelled. Nov. 6 , 1941. . .Building Inspector reported that our building requirements specified the use of certain materials, but as the emergency defense regulations have made i t almost impossible to get the regulation materials, he asked for temporary permission to allow and use substitute materials in buildings. Granted--as long a s emergency exists. Nov. 1 0 , 1 9 4 1 ... Council met as a Board of Canvassers of the recent election. Results a s follows:
