Dewey Thorley recommended the adoption of t h e following: 1. The City Manager's salary be reduced to $ 1 . 5 0 0 p e r annum. 2 . The S t r e e t Supervisor a n d team receive $4.50 p e r day. 3. The Watermaster a n d Marshal receive no 4. The services of t h e Health allowance for c a r expense. Inspector be eliminated. 5. That the business houses finance 6. T h a t t h e City Employees contribute t h g Nightwatchman. 10% of their salary to the City. The recommendation was rejected. Tax levy for t h e year 1932 .was s e t a t 15.0 mills. Aug. 4, 1932 ...Parley Dalley made motion t h a t Southern Utah Power Co. be invited to make a proposal for the renewal of i t s franchise with the City. The s p r l n g water a t Five Lakes is ready for piping into t h e main line. Aug. 18, 1932.. .Mr. Todd, of Fairbanks Morse and Company, met with the Council for t h e purpose of placing their plan of a Municipal Light a n d Power Plant before t h e Council. A resolution was drawn u p asking t h a t Fairbanks Morse a n d Company be requested to submit a formal plan of a power plant, distribution system, r a t e , schedules, a n d t h e cost of energy. Nov. 3, 1932.. .Considerable time was s p e n t in discussing relief work t o be done in the City with numerous projects named. General Steam Corporation s e n t a l e t t e r in r e g a r d to building a power plant in Coal Creek Canyon. They will f u r n i s h t h e City with power a t 6 mills p e r k . w . h . Dec. 1932.. . T h e following budget was approved for 1933:
