P. Liston a n d William Stewart for driving machinery. Jan. 8 , 1858 ...An Ordinance relation to profanity a n d drunkenness: Sec. l . . . B e i t ordained by the City Council t h a t any person o r persons who shall profane t h e name of t h e Deity shall be subject to a fine. Sec. 2 . . .Any person who shall become publicly intoxicated in this City, so a s to annoy t h e peace a n d quiet of the citizens thereof, shall be liable t o a r r e s t a n d fined in any sum not less t h a n five nor more t h a n one h u n d r e d dollars or from five to one h u n d r e d d a y s h a r d labor for each offense. Feb. 5 , 1 8 5 6 . . .An Ordinance relating to shade a n d other t r e e s within t h e limits of Cedar City: Sec. l . . . B e i t ordained t h a t any person o r persons who shall c u t down o r destroy the young live cottonwoods within the limits of Cedar City shall he subject to a fine not exceeding twenty dollars. Sec. 2 . . . B e it f u r t h e r ordained t h a t any person o r persons who shall mutilate, i n j u r e , o r destroy a n y of t h e shade t r e e s planted in the s t r e e t s of this City shall be subject t o a fine. Sec. 3 . . .Any person o r persons tieing any animal to any of the shade t r e e s in the s t r e e t s of this City shall be subject to a fine. Feb. 5 . 1 8 5 6 . . .An Ordinance in relation t o crows: Sec. 1.. .Be i t ordained t h a t ten cents shall be allowed a s a bounty for each crow's head delivered to t h e Auditor of this City. Sec. 2 . . .Any person of suitable age is h e r e b y authorized to shoot crows with s h o t , b u t shall be liable for all damages done t h e r e b y . April 2 5 . =...An Ordinance in relation to t h e Field Committee: Sec. 1 . . .Be it ordained t h a t a committee of t h r e e be appointed to look a f t e r t h e general i n t e r e s t s of t h e Field a n d see t h a t t h e fence is kept in good r e p a i r . They shall be appointed by the City Council a n d shall hold their office f o r one y e a r .
