June 2 . 1855.. .An Ordinance determining t h e width of s t r e e t s , e t c . , on Plat B: (New City s i t e ) Sec. 1 . . .Be i t ordained by t h e City Council t h a t the width of t h e s t r e e t s r u n n i n g t h r o u g h Plat B shall be six rods. An Ordinance in relation to t h e Wall of Cedar City: Sec. 1.. .Be i t ordained by t h e City Council t h a t a n y person o r persons who have wooden pickets in their portion of t h e Wall shall remove them forthwith and replace them with adobies. Sec. 2 . . .No person o r persons shall c u t o r make any hole o r doorway through t h e wall of this Fort without making a door o r s h u t t e r , bullet proof. Sec. 3...Any person having portions of t h e Wall t h a t require propping shall remove t h e p r o p s and build t h e Wall to s t a n d without them. Aug. 4 , 1855.. .An Ordinance creating a Police for Cedar City, defining their duties and t h e duties of the City Marshal: Sec. 1 . . .Be i t ordained t h a t t h e r e shall be a Police established consisting of sixteen men. Sec. 6 . . . I t shall f u r t h e r be the d u t y of t h e Marshal t o s e r v e all processes and execute all o r d e r s t h a t he shall receive from time t o time from the Municipal Court. Mayor o r Aldermen of this City, a n d to act a s Peace Officer in suppressing all riots a n d a r r e s t i n g disorderly persons a n d b r i n g them before the Mayor o r Alderman for examination. An Ordinance relating to fines: All fines collected b y t h e Justice of the Peace shall be p u t into the hand of t h e Treasurer. Sept. 1, 1856.. .An Ordinance in relation to dogs: Sec. l . . . A l l persons owning dogs within the limits of t h i s City shall p a y a t a x of one dollar p e r year for each dog.
