Matter was brought u p to determine if it was necessary to appoint a T r e a s u r e r or if the present T r e a s u r e r could hold office legally without reappointment. The T r e a s u r e r Elect, not being a registered voter, was unable to qualify as an officer. Matter deferred. Council also discussed at length the office of Citv Marshal. Supervisor of Streets', and Watermaster. MO& members exnressed themselves as feeline t h a t the work of said office would need two officers, as the pipes of the water system need so much repairing in the way of leaks, b r e a k s , e t c . , t h a t one man could not profitably do the work. Matter deferred. The following claims were presented:

On motion, said claims were allowed and Recorder instructed to issue warrants for same. Mayor stated t h a t he did not appoint the members of the Board of Health, as he was in doubt as to the man he had in mind being able to qualify. Matter deferred. The purpose being to Jan. 1 2 , 1 9 1 2 . . .Special session. present the matter of accepting and taking over the Hearse The presented to the City b y Mrs. Katherine G . Bell.
