Ryan) t h a t t h e head works a n d intake of t h e proposed system of water works for this Citv be located a t a point opposite to Station No. 53 of -n the sur;ey of E . N . ~ e ~ r o h o a n d immediately u n d e r t h e South Field Company ditch, t h e water t o be taken from t h e Creek t h r o u g h said ditch. The head works to consist of a wooden flume. said flume to be used f o r settline t h e water. Also, a well o r concrete c i s t e r n o r reservoir from which t h e water shall enter the pipe as set out in the specifications.. . .4.435', 8" pipe, 2,6101, 4" p i p e , a n d 19,368'. 3" pipe. Total cost laid down a t L u n d , Utah--$9,125.

March 11. 1904.. .Mayor Middleton p r e s e n t e d t h e name of Lehi W . Jones t o fill t h e vacancy caused b y t h e resignation of Confirmed. The scale of wages t o be Samuel T . Leigh. allowed for labor of men a n d teams laboring on t h e water system was n e x t p r e s e n t e d b y the Mayor, which i t was unanimously decided to fix t h e same a s follows: For manual labor, a r a t e of $1.75 p e r day. For team p e r d a y , $1.50. Labor of General Supervisor a n d Manager was established a t $2.25 p e r day. March 15, 1904.. .Letter from Intermountain Pipe Company was read announcing t h a t t h e f i r s t carload of pipe would be shipped on o r about t h e 25th, and arrangements should be made to have t h e same freighted in from Lund immediately. Thomas S. Bladen had declined to act a s General Manager in putting in pipe a n d digging trenches s o they had engaged the services of George H . Wood to act in said capacity. Richard Williams was appointed to assist him. The matter of providing fire h y d r a n t s was brought up--same would cost about $3 each. March 24, 1904.. . I t was decided to dig the trenches for the water mains, 3' 6" in d e p t h . March 28, 1904.. . ( F i r s t load of pipe) Bill of Intermountain Pine Comoanv.. Salt Lake Citv.. Utah. for 8.5334 feet 3 inch , > wood stove pipe @ 25t0 p e r foot = $2,i76.04--for water works. The 8" pipe cost 75@p e r foot.
