S . ) (From: Deed Book M, in Iron County Court House, page 175) This Indenture, made the 28th day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninetyeight, between Cedar City, a Municipal Corporation of the State of Utah, party of the first p a r t , and the State of Utah, with i t s seat of Government and principal place of business at Salt Lake City, Utah, party of the second p a r t , Witnesseth. that.. . Whereas, the party of the first p a r t , by resolutions of i t s council, duly passed on the 28th day of September, A.D. 1898, and approved by the Mayor, granted and donated to the said party of the second part for educational purposes and particularly for the accomodation and maintenance of a branch of the State Normal School located at Cedar City, Utah, and duly authorized and directed the Mayor of said Cedar City to make, execute, and deliver to the said State of Utah, party of the second p a r t , a proper deed of conveyance of the land described in the said resolution and particularly described in this Indenture. Now therefore, the said party of the first p a r t . pursuant to said resolution and for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar lawful money of the United States of America to i t in hand paid by the said party of the second p a r t , the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, and sold, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents does g r a n t , bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second p a r t , i t s successor and assigns forever, all that certain lot, piece or parcel of land in Block twenty-eight ( 2 8 ) of Plat B.
