When Ann Gal-dner's hushand, Bert received severe burns on his hmds from contact with clectric wires, Henrietta took care of the dressing and rnedimtions. She had earlier experience with burns when Henry was scalded as a younx hoy. When Henrietta wanted to change her house, she did it on her own, with extra earnings from boarders. 'The northeast room had always been uscd for a bedroom, hut she had dreams of it being a dining room or a library. Hence, when Lehi took a trip to San Juan to visit his hrother, Kumen, Henrietta made the change. It was all finished when he arrived home. When the Extension Dept. at Logan came to town for a Farmer's Roundup, Henrietta took a prominent part in the demonstrations in the field of sewing and rooking. One project, the boys remeniher well, was the making of a suit for herself from a man's suit. Her knitting and handwol-k werc always in evidence in her home. The faith her father and mother instilled irr her carried on in her life, never faltering or questioned. Proverlis 71, in dcscrihing a virtuous woman, certainly can he applied to Henrietta. "She looked well to the ways of her household. and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her t~lessed, hushand also and he praiseth her." her This driving power which Henrietta exhibited all her life, no doubt, took a toll on her body as she entered her sixties, for she had an operation from which she recovered, hut her faculties began slowly to fail her, although she was still concerned about her family, pleasant arid casy to live with. Toward the end she was unahle to talk - pnrumonia developed. whirh took her life.14
