Iinrscshoes, pots, flatirons, latches, n;~ils,tongs, and the community hell which weixhed 150 ihs. The hell was placed in 3 wooden tower and later was inovcd to the belfry on the Henry Lunt Hotel. Rlretings, school^, funerali, dances and c1.m the time for taking the town herds of sheep and rattlc out to feed and their return, were announced 11);thc ringing of ihc community hell. In 1856, water power was lacking for thc industry and the hut 11laitpipes hurned out. In 1857, Pres. Young suspended all operations except farming in prepamtion for another m o w , fcir Johnston's :\rrny was on its way to C t a h to scc that the Saints conformed with thc U S . G~~vernnient."' 15
