He also rc~ordril that he bou-ht a pair of pants for $2.50 and a half pound nf hcef for 50 ccnts. He was !given annther pntriarrhal blessing in Salt Lakc City Sept. 9, 185 1 by Jolun Smith. Lehi's mother. Sage Treharnc. was also ;I narive of Wales. Shc was Imrn in the P;~rish I.langendyrnr, (Carmarthen. \\'ales. Novrmhcr 27. of ,1832. JVhen Sagc wa\ appruxirn;ttcly 12 years old, Eliascr Edward% and .\11e1 Evan, missionaries nf thr L.D.S Church came to that city to preach thrir rrligion. Her mother and father were unahle to attend the meeting net up 11ythese missinn;rries.so they sent their daughter Jane, who was 16, to the meeting to find out what the teaching of the L.D.S. Church were. \Vhm Jane returned home and related to her parents what sire had scrn and heard, her father rlapped his hands on his knees and said, "That is o l~ the Gospel I have l ~ c e l~ io k i ~ for, fur years." The following day the mission;lrics left the city and the Trcharne f.miily did not hear any more about the L.D.S. <:hu~-chuntil 1847, three yean later. .At that time. hlnrmon nlissionaries ramc again to their vicinity and the entire famil) went this time to hear them preach, and was completely conrcrted. Soon after this, they were a11 l~aptized. Will and Ann l're11;trnc left \\'ales in 1840 bound for .\merim with their fix,? children, hIary, Jane, Sarah, Sagc and William. They crmsed thc ocean in a sail ship named
