Description	Note: B.Y.U. Library, 1955: Permission to copy the material from the origmal Henry Lunt diaries was secured through the kindness of William H. Lunt of Locust Lane, Provo, Utah. The originals from whch this copy was made have been returned to the owners, together with a bound carbon copy of reproduction (William is a son of Heaton Lunt). The on@ journals, which comprise pages 50-214, consist of two portions, both n of whch are written in i k whlch is fairly legible. One was a section of loose pages which may formaly have been stapled or bound together, and are 20 x 12 cm. in size. The k s t four pages of this section are of a different paper whch is unlined, whereas the following pages are lined and are numbered from 47 to 100. The second diary, which is called Volume 3 and begins Jme 10,1852, is in a bound book form but lacks a back cover, and the covers have been shipped off and the boards are held together by bindug thread which is so loose that some of the signatures can be moved around. The front section was devoted to English accounts and the pages are cut so as to gwe a tabbed alphabetical arrangement The original journal may be seen in the microfilm reproduction. Volume 3 is 16 x 10 cm. in size.
