Sun. Dec. 11, 1898: Ther. cold., Wea. clear, some fog on the mountains. We came back over to Uncle Crisse’s ranch and staid the rest of the day. George Hix, R.B. Mancur and Milton Jolly came back from Horse Valley they had been over there killing some wild steers. S.K. Larson came up this evening to help kill the pigs. Monday 12: Ther. cold morning and evening, very pleasant and warm in the sun. Wea. clear We Butchered the pigs 5 in all 3 for Jim Crawford and 2 for Uncle Criss. we got done about 4 pm and S.K.L. left to go to Orderville. Father and I got home from S.L. City 11 years ago to day.
