Sat. Sept. 24, 1898: Ther. pleasant. Wea. clear in morning, wind started to blow from south about 9 am. We stopped awhile at Hamiltons and at Cedar. camped near the 13 mile stone south of the Parowan road was very dry and dusty and the wind made it disagreeable to travel. Sunday 25: Ther. cool. Wea. wind from south clouds going north we had plenty dust and wind. nooned at the Parowan lane, and stopped a few minutes at Red Creek, we camped at the flowing wells near Buck Horn.
