Two recitations and one laboratory period each week.
Three hours credit. First Term.
Breed Types. This course covers the history, characteristics of the differnt breeeds of horses, cattle, sheep, and swine. The student will be given practice in judging individuals of the different breeds and their adaptability to western conditions.

Three hours credit. Second Term.
Feeding Live Stock. This course will include some of the principles of feeding with reference to western conditions. Attention will be given to nutrition, the balancing of rations, and including some practice in live stock management.
Fourth year work. Three hours thruout the year.
Horticulture I. This course takes in a study of the selection and preparation of the soil for the new orchard. It deals also with the best planning, planting, pruning, propagation, tillage, fertilization, and irrigation.

Horticulture II. This subject deals with the principles and practices of fruit growing: pruning, grafting, budding, picking, packing, marketing, and methods of spraying.
Three hours credit. Second term.
Elementary Agronomy. This course treats of the soil: formation, kinds, composition, tillage, movement of soil water, effects of mulch, alkali soils, irrigation, drainage, and maintaining of fertility.
