Copies of the city charter and plan of government have been requested by the management of many educational institutions and many teachers.
Chapel. One chapel period a week is conducted by students. Tho no theological creeds can be taught, great mortal truths are emphasized, and ideals of the highest spiritual order are inculcated. Besides the ethical training received in these assemblies, students have numerous opportunities for developing power in public speaking.
Students' Literary Society. All students are invited to become members of the Students' Literary Society. This organization aims at the promotion of general culture in literature, and at developing power in public speaking, parliamentary procedure, and different forms of public entertainment.
Wranglers' Club. Any boy interested in debating may become an active member of this organization on recommendation of some member of the association. Its purpose is to give special opportunity for a study of argumentation and for practice in debate. Besides regular debating, current events and other interesting topics are discussed.
Le Cercle. This organization comprises all the girls and women teachers of the school. Some sessions are devoted to literary programs, others to social features. The purpose of the association is intellectual and social betterment.
STUDENT ENTERTAINMENTS.
An effort has always been made by the teachers to direct the amusements of the students. A large hall well floored, well finished, is provided in the new Science Building, and here the school is prepared to give proper
