ing injurious habits or tendencies. To accomplish these results, proper gymnasium exercises and out-of-door games under the direction of a well qualified instructor are given.
The school is well provided with an excellent gymnasium, shower baths,. and lockers. In. connection with the gymnasium work, out-of-door sports, football, basketball, baseball, tennis, track and field work will be given as an encouragement to students to take part in contests with other schools.
MANUAL TRAINING SHOPS.
A separtae building has been erected for the work in Manual Training and shop work. Modern benches, lathes, scroll-saws, forges, and tools of all kinds for work in wood and metals are provided.
During the spring of 1910 the machinery for equipping the shop commenced to arrive. The plant now consists of the $10,000 building, two Champion lathes, one lathe of the American Tool Works Co., a drill press, a 'wet and a dry emery grinder, six Buffalo Down Draught forges. A well-equipped tool room, containing taps, dies, drills, jigs and other appliances for modern machine shop work is one of the benefits of the school.
Machines and lathes for the iron work are provided for the Engineering course.
