The privileges of the library and museum are free. In the laboratories, workshops, cooking rooms, and in typewriting, students are charged an incidental fee to cover the cost of material used by them in their exercises.
All students are held responsible for any injury done by them to the Normal School property.
Students can obtain board at from $2.50 to $4.00 per week.
For further information concerning board and rooms apply to the Principal or custodian.
SCHOLARSHIPS.
Normal Scholarships. In pursuance of an act of the first State Legislature, the Normal School continues to receive annually two hundred students free of any charge for admission or registration. The act provides as follows "Fifty appointments to such scholarships may be made annually, each appointment to be for the term of four; years; Provided that students may be reappointed to scholarships. Appointments to normal scholarships shall be made by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction on nomination by the boards of examiners or city boards of education, when such cities are not under the supervision of the county superintendent of schools. * * * Holders of normal. scholarships shall be required to declare their intention to complete the prescribed course of normal instruction, and after graduation to teach in the public schools of the State ; and in the event of such students discontinuing their studies at the University before graduation, they shall be required to pay to the University the amount of registration or entrance
