For those who wish to become teachers in our Spanish possessions such a course will be very valuable.
French may be given for any who may wish that language.
Latin may be given to those having aspirations for medicine or other scientific work.
(1) This course is designed for students of both sexes. It will include constructive work relating to subjects of the school curriculum, as well as the mechanical principles of construction, involving the use of many materials and tools end methods of manufacture. Scroll sawing, wood turning, joining and general wood work are features of this course.
(2) Wood and an elementary course in blacksmithing.
Four hours per week throughout the year.
Drawing. The aim of this course is to teach the elementary principles of drawing and coloring to prepare students for the expression work which may be required of them in various other branches of study. Primarily it is sought to cultivate the aesthetic instinct and develop the power of observation. The course consists of design ; drawing and painting from objects and model; life drawing, and open-air sketching with colored crayons, water color, pencil and pen and ink.
