This department is provided with a model kitchen, a dining room, a sewing room with the necessary machines, etc., required for thorough and practical work.
Chapel exercises are held every day, the purpose being to bring students. and teachers more closely together, and to instruct along lines of morality. One chapel period each week is given over to the students to carry out programs appropriate to such occasions.
All students are invited to become members of the "Students' Society." This organization aims at the promotion of the literary and general culture that result from practice in public speaking and parliamentary procedure.
In addition to this general society the students of the Normal have a "Debating Club," and a "Literary and Domestic Art Society." The former is conducted exclusively by men, the latter by women.
