sign; drawing and painting from objects and models; life drawing, and open-air sketching with colored crayons, water color, pencil and pen and ink.
The cost of materials for the course need not exceed $1.50 for one year.
Four recitations per eek throughout the year.
Music. The following course of instruction is given: the staff, notes, measures, divisions, rhythm, intervals, major and minor scales, major and minor triads and four part singing. In addition to the foregoing, important epochs in the development of music from an historical point of view will be thoroughly discussed and an acquaintance with the lives of celebrated masters acquired.
Two recitations per week throughout the year.
Private instruction in pianoforte and reed organ playing will be given by the instructor in vocal music. The celebrated Mason system, of technic is used. For information concerning courses apply to O. C. Anderson, Cedar City, Utah.
Bookkeeping (a). In this course the student will be thorougly drilled in the principles which underlie bookkeeping, special attention being given to the methods of closing books, making out statements, trial balances and invoices, and to other details connected with the course.
Three hours per week first half-year.
