kitchen and all accessories; a dining room; a sewing room with the necessary machines, etc., required for thorough and practical work.
CHAPEL EXERCISES.
Chapel exercises will be held at the beginning of each day. Attendance is optional, but all are invited to be present regularly.
One chapel period each week will be occupied by the students under the direction of a student committee.
STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS.
All students are invited to become members of the "Students' Society.' This organization aims at the promotion of the literary and' general culture that result from practice in public speaking and parliamentary procedure.
In addition to this general society the students of the Normal have a "Debating Club," and a "Literay and Domestic Art Society." The former is conducted exclusively by men, the latter by women.
The Athletic Association is active not only in promoting games and out of door sports, but it is also taking an interest in other phases of physical education.
The student body of the Branch Normal is self-governing. An organization known as the "Branch Normal School City" has been effected, its functions being similar to those of cities of the first class. Through this government the students make their own laws and enforce them. By thus affording a very practical training in civics, the systen does much in preparing the students for the greater duties imposed by citizenship.
To further the musical interests of the school, especially in the way of chorus and glee singing, a society known as "The Choral" has been organized. All students of the Normal are eligible for membership.
