17 STATE NORMAL SCHOOL.
Music.-This course includes instruction in reading vocal music, methods of teaching vocal music, elementary principles of voice culture, harmony, part-singing, etc.
2 recitations per week throughout the year.
Physical Education.-Instruction will be given In free gymnastics, dumb-bells, clubs, wands, chest weights, developing appliances, horizontal bar, parallel bars, flying rings, etc.
[Instrumental Music.-Private instruction in instrumental music will be given by the instructor in vocal music. For information concerning courses and terms apply to O. C. Anderson, Cedar City Utah.]
CREDIT.
Students going from the Branch Normal to the University at Salt Lake City to finish their course will receive credit for all the subjects they have already completed. Such students in applying for registration at the University should present a list of their credits, certified to by the registrar of the Branch Normal School.
The Preparatory Course.
As there are in the more remote settlements many young men and women who have not had the advantages of a complete common school education, It is designed to offer to students over eighteen years of age special instruction in the subjects required for entrance.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION.
Students will be admitted to the Preparatory Course on examination or on giving evidence of ability to do the work required.
