Required of second-year Normal students.

PHYSIOLOGY B: THE NERVOUS SYSTEM.-Lectures and recitations on the anatomy, physiology, and hygiene of the nervous system and the special senses. This course must precede the study of psychology.
Required of third-year Normal students.
I hour per week throughout the year.-Mr. Bennion.
ZOOLOGY 1.-This is a thoroughly practical course for teachers, and little attention is given to those subjects which the teacher can not use in common school work.
Required of second-year Normal students.
3 hours per week, first half year.
BOTANY 1.-The design of this course is to offer teachers the instruction necessary to enable them to make practical use of botany in their daily school work.
Required of second-year Normal students.
3 hours per week, second half-year.
READING A.-The object of this course is to give a practical and scientific basis for reading Practice and theory of reading ; voice building, phonetic spelling, pronunciation and emphasis will be given.
Required of all first-year Normal students.
READING B.-Literary analysis ; the study and reading of standard selections; preparation of matter for teaching reading; Quality, Force, Time, Pitch.
Required of all second-year Normals.
2 hours per week throughout the year. (One hour's credit.)
EDUCATIONAL BIOGRAPHY.-This course embraces a biographical study of the prominent educators, and a discussion of their principles as related to modern educational methods.
Required of all third year Normal students.
1 hour per week throughout the year.
NORMAL REVIEWS.-The common branches are reviewed preparatory to pedagogical instruction.
Required of all second year Normal students.
