joined the church from within the ward boundaries. Special attention was given to members who had not been too involved. Supporting scouting activities, performing wedding ceremonies, encouraging auxiliary leaders and counseling individual members were typical responsibilitieswhich he worked diligently to fulfill. At the last Ward Conference held October 26, 1958, before John's release December 7, 1958, the list of officers working with the bishopric included: George S. Nelson, James E. Lowry, Charles M.
