with your loved ones, through your faithfulness." I found myself wishing that I would be given the power to see the things of the spirit that I might be eyewitness to Dad's joyful reunion with family and friends in the spirit world, but I knew in my heart that it was not an appropriate desire. Instead, there came flooding into my soul that witness of the spirit which gives the peace that passeth all understanding. I knew in that moment that all is well with Dad, that the anticipated reunion would occur, and that he would enter into the joy of the Lord. Dad pronounced his own benediction in a brief poem which he wrote for the funeral of President George R. Hill of the Sunday School, father of the George R. Hill whom we know and love in the stake at this time. Whiie lie's now longer shadows reach their way far to the east I perceive the inevitable sunset, the hour of memory feast. Oh Lord, it isn't easy my humble thanks to say, From swaddling clothes to temple gown on earth's last precious day. I cherished every hour, in struggle and in peace, The challenge of the battle and conclusion's sweet release. I thank Thee for my own free choice, whatever be the cost. But more than that I thank Thee for the Hand that guides, when lost. Dad lives, as surely as we live. He enjoys the joy of His Lord and the companionship of those who have preceded us through the veil. That we may be worthy to join them in our own due time and according to the Lord's own will, I pray in Jesus' name, Amen. Remarks: John P.
