Three Score and Ten in Retrospect
the family of John S. Boyden. We have appreciated and admired his many fine qualities of character, his family and his achievements. Throughout his l i e he made good use of his intelligent, inquiring, and analytical mind in such a way as to enrich the lives of his family and all whose lives he touched. All who knew him affirm and admire his many fine qualities, especially as a loving and a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. In his commitment to many services beyond the call of duty and in his long and faithful service in the practice of law and the administration of justice he made significant and lasting contributions which brought respect and esteem to himself, his family and his profession. For all of those things and for the privilege of associating with him in the profession and in personal friendship, we are gratehl to all of you and we join in honoring his memory. Respectfully, J. Allan Crockett, Richard J. Maughn, D. Frank Wilkins, Gordon R. Hall and I. Daniel Stewart. And we wish to acknowledge today the presence of a delegation of Indians who have traveled many miles to honor their friend, John Boyden. Invocation: Paul W. Boyden Our Father in Heaven, as we come before Thee this day in a service to honor one of Thy chosen sons, John S. Boyden, we are grateful for the example he has been to us, and thankful for the love throughout his life which he exhibited to not only his family but to all mankind. We are thankful for the testimony which he left with all of his children and in his final hours his explaining to us the strength of his testimony. We are thankful for the strength which these testimonies bring to our souls, and we pray that Thy spirit may be with all those who participate in this service today, that their tributes may be of love and testimony and peace. This I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
