Three Score and Ten in Retrospect
let me tell you of an experience I had recently that has wiped away all doubts from my mind. While in Salt Lake City on business for the Ute Indian Tribe, my employer, 1 learned that Mr. John S:Boyden, Attorney for the Ute Indian Tribe, was in Arizona on business. I was not in immediate need of legal advice, but felt that had Mr. Boyden been in his office, I could have used his advice to advantage in the tribe's business and was somewhat disappointed that I had not seen him. By the time I reached the Strawberry Valley my concern for his well-being was so great that 1 was prompted to stop my car and say a prayer on behalf of his safety. I immediately felt better, and it wasn't until several days later that I learned that Mr. Boyden had been a passenger in an automobile that had been involved in an accident in which the driver was seriously injured, and in which Mr. Boyden was only slightly bruised. During the course of the meeting a topic was discussed which Frisco Johnson, the Governor of Kyakotsmovi Village thought I should present to his village. I accepted his invitation and agreed to attend a meeting that evening. The U.S. Government being interested in the subject matter, Clyde W. Pensoneau, Superintendent of the Hopi Agency, offered to
