Description	Man of Many Hobbies 143 This poem was written while on a flight home from Washington, D.C.: Now I ponder my contributions Earth shaking? Not so, I fear. What have I left behind me In the long way from there to here? There's comfort in the knowledge I did no willful wrong. I called them as I saw them. "Work together" was my song. Today I settled a little thing But you know, it just may last. It corrected a wrong we all agreed That had been ignored in the past. Just one more cause I'll strive to serve. The sail is made with seams; The journey o the boat from this safe port f May end beyond my dreams. For this is rewarding living; Iaim to keep it so: What is right in the beginning Is right when it's time to go. Written for the December, 1955 issue of the Rooseveltian (the school newspaper of Roosevelt Junior High...commonly known as Roosie): Santa's Favorite Sleigh bells sound his coming, over snow, through frosty air. Our voices all are singing as we drop our every care. Santa favors our school, and that's no foolish whim; The signs are just so clear, they plain stick out on him. His cheeks are nice and rosy, his nose is rosy, too; And when Santa comes to our school, he's Roosie through and through!
